  18. There are a few down falls of the 8200 drive.  First the drive does
  19. not have that much storage 2.5g of D1 is only a few seconds of animation.
  20. If that is all you need the great, but if the cost is not that much more
  21. than 8505 is a much better choice.  The other problem is that some DDR's
  22. have a hard time dealing with the low-density tapes.  This can cause tapes
  23. not to read correctly, thus having to create the tape over.  The other
  24. problem is that the read time to and from the 8200 is very slow.  If you are
  25. paying for DDR time per-hour at your local post house, this can increase
  26. your bill alot.  The extra time, money at post, and mass storage it's simply
  27. best to buy the 8500 or 8505.  Look at the price as a longer term investment.
